THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION SOCIETY
Full Description:
The Vinings Historic Preservation Society was established by the Ruth Carter Vanneman Foundation, Inc in 1992 to preserve and maintain the Pace House, the Old Pavilion, the Vinings Center and the surrounding grounds.
The group strives to collect and display Pace Family and Vinings artifacts and other memorabilia for the interest and education of the public in general and the Vinings community in particular.
The group's project includes the following: restoration of the historic home of Soloman Pace and the Yarbrough House, rescuing the Old Pavilion from destruction and creating a special events facility available for public and private celebrations.
Through donations of money, time, and interest in the VHPS, sponsors at all levels can further the cause of historic preservation in Vinings.
Your membership, donation, and support enable the VHPS to accomplish its mission of preserving the rich history of Vinings. Membership begins at $50, up to $2,500.
The VHPS is a non-profit, tax-exempt, charitable 501(c)(3) corporation.
